1st of March, St. David's Day,
is the national day of Wales.

This is a flag of St. David.
Saint David is the patron saint of Wales. He was a Christian holy man who lived a long time ago. Saint David died on the 1st of March. St. David's Day is held on the first day of March every year to remember the day he died. It is traditional for Welsh people to pin leeks    and daffodils    to their clothes on Saint
David's Day.This is because leeks and daffodils are Welsh symbols.
Concerts and parades are held in big towns and cities on St. David's Day.
Some children in Wales dress in their national costume, which consists of a tall black hat, white frilled cap and long dress.

The national flag of Wales  , depicting a fiery red dragon against a green and white background is also flown.
